Water Stewardship – holding the private sector accountable
SDC supports the Water Stewardship approach - which aims at making sure that the use of water is socially and culturally equitable, environmentally sustainable and economically beneficial – by promoting inclusive multi-level multi-stakeholder processes aiming at site- and catchment-based actions. Ultimately, these efforts should lead to a more responsible use of water resources - in particular by the private sector for which SDC has contributed to developing a Water Stewardship Toolbox.
